Gota Patti Indian Embroidery for Beginners with Manjari

What’s it all about?

Gota is a metallic ribbon which is used widely across North India during auspicious events. This ribbon was made using real gold and silver yarns in the past. Gota Patti embroidery is a  simple technique of creating patterns by cutting this ribbon into different shapes and sewing it together with beads and sequins. 

In this workshop you can create a metallic pattern which could be sewn onto any garment or used as a wall hanging. 

Beginner friendly and all materials provided.

Who will be teaching?

Manjari (she/her) is a trained Fashion Designer with vast experience in Indian textiles and embroideries. After working in the Fashion industry for over a decade, she has been running her own handmade children's clothing label, Bubble For Poppet, for the past eight years.
