Acclaimed Wellington Chefs Max Gordy (Graze Wine Bar) and Shepherd Elliott (Shepherd Restaurant, The Development Kitchen) combine to present a multi-course exploration of gothic food.
What’s gothic food? Well, in truth it is more of an aesthetic, a deep dive into the dark world of Gothic literature, art, and culture, reflected back in the form of finely-crafted, contemporary dishes.
Both Max and Shepherd have strong philosophies around food, particularly around sourcing local, sustainable ingredients. For this event, being at Zealandia, they’ve gone one step further and are almost exclusively using pest and foraged foods.
Some dietaries catered for on request, please notify us when purchasing tickets (a drop-down box will appear during the booking process). Seating is at shared long tables. Your ticket includes three matched taster drinks to go with starters.
