Gouache Painting Workshop
Event description
Join us for a wonderful Gouache Painting Class where you will observe, draw, and paint still life with colors and textures. Students will be able to learn the fundamentals of gouache (opaque watercolor) painting. The class will also discuss composition, brushstroke techniques, layering, and color exercises with this water media. Students create works on paper in this dynamic and experimental workshop for students of all levels, for ages 14 years+ and adults!
The beauty of gouache is the potential for vibrancy and rich, matte tones with a slightly different watercolor approach. Students will discover new skills through Gouache exercises by an emphasis on building visual awareness skills.
Come have fun in a relaxed and creative atmosphere!
This workshop will be led by Carolyn Todd. She has paintings, drawings, and illustrations shown in private collections, galleries, salons, and restaurants in the United States and South America. She has had solo and group shows all over Texas!
