Governance for Community Groups - Nelson Workshop
Description
Join us for this free, in-person workshop in Nelson exploring the key principles of Governance for Community Groups. Steven Moe, Partner at Parry Field Lawyers, will discuss what good governance looks like in practice, the roles and responsibilities of the Board and Chair, and the importance of getting your legal documents right. The workshop will also explore why constitutions, rules and purpose statements should be regularly reviewed and updated to reflect your organisation’s current purpose, ensuring they remain relevant and helping to protect both your organisation and those involved.
This event will be followed by a workshop on Structuring for Impact, looking at how Impact Investing can be used to promote investment into meaningful local projects that both provide financial return and community impact.
