What can you expect?
Forget the traditional governance lecture! This session is about real situations, practical solutions and learning from each other.
Facilitated by governance expert Natalie Bramble, you will explore some of the governance challenges local organisations are dealing with right now, including:
Finding and supporting committee members and key roles such as treasurer
Understanding roles and responsibilities
Managing conflicts of interest
Making meetings more effective
Working through difficult governance situations
Knowing where to turn when you aren't sure what to do
The highlight of the session is the interactive Governance Game, where participants work in teams to tackle realistic governance scenarios, share ideas and test their decision-making skills in a fun, supportive environment.
This project is supported by FRRR, through funding from the Australian Government’s Future Drought Fund and NFP Guide.
