Governance Training

This is a workshop for both new and experienced board members. The workshop encourages board members to see themselves as community leaders and provides the skills, knowledge and confidence for them to govern well. The topics covered depend on the needs of the group although our experience is the most commonly requested are:

• Types of governance boards
• Roles and responsibilities of boards
• How boards add value
• Legal compliance
• The role of the Chair
• Good meeting process
• The board / manager partnership

Tea and light lunch provided.
