Objective:
Equip Council Members with the practical knowledge to understand and implement existing Delegation of Authority processes in the LEQ System.

2. Overview of our current Delegations of Authority
- Financial delegations – approval limits, reporting and capital expenditure.
- Operational delegations – staffing, recruitment and employment contract renegotiations.
- Strategic and curriculum – decision over academic programs and curriculum changes.
- Services and procurements – engagement of service providers.
- Litigation – commencing or settling litigation, including execution of deeds of settlement by seal.

- Formal process for assignment of delegation.
- Documentation practices.
4. Maintaining Transparency and Accountability
- Practices for ensuring decisions are made within the scope of authority.
- Practices for reporting and notification.
- Review cycles for delegations.
