THE EVENT
Public procurement plays a critical role in shaping the quality of the built environment across regional NSW. This evening forum brings together government representatives, architects, and industry leaders to explore how procurement processes can better enable good design outcomes and fair access for regional practices

Got questions about how public works are procured? Here’s your chance to ask directly

The evening will be an open roundtable, giving attendees the chance to ask questions of government representatives directly — from how public works are procured to how local architects can play a greater role. This interactive format will encourage dialogue, share insights, and explore better pathways for regional projects.

THE FORMAT
Light refreshments will be available on arrival followed by a tour of the Artie Smith Oval Pavilion designed by Local Architect South Coast in association with Barnacle Studio. There will then be a broad introduction to the topic by RAA president Tim Lee and the government representatives attending and a round table with questions invited from those attending. The evening will wrap up with drinks served and the opportunity to socialise. A dinner booking (buy your own) will be made at a local venue for those wishing to join, please indicate likely attendance at registration checkout.
