Event description

Join us in the gallery foyer for creativity and fun!

Our relaxed and engaging sessions are for children aged 6 months - 5 years and their carers. Guided art-making activities are suited to children aged 3-5, while younger children aged 6 months - 2 years can enjoy sensory play, story time, and join in creating artworks.

Each session is based on a current exhibition and uses creative play to develop imagination and skills.

Upcoming Sessions:

  • August 6 : We will look at the bond between parent and child in the collaborative exhibition Gunimaa-Source – Debbie Taylor-Worley and Sophie Taylor. Children will make figurative sculptures from polymer clay.

  • September 3: Be inspired by the work of, Nickolla Clark – winner of the 2024 Bundjalung Award. We will explore themes of the river and connection while making art from paper and texture play.

  • November 5: Look at the world through photography, sound, and light. Look at and listen to the Whales depicted in Sammy Hawker’s exhibition Worlds Around Us. Children will create collages and make patterns while listening to sound.

  • December 3: In this session we will explore the exhibition re/Joy by Vipoo Srivilasa. We will experiment and play with different materials and textures to make joyful figures to share with loved ones.

Join us for one or more sessions! Book your tickets and mark your calendars for a creative and playful experience!
