ABOUT THE PROJECT:

Grace Hospital in Tauranga offers advanced surgical care with 9 operating theatres and specialities, including robotic surgery. They are the pioneers of robotic assisted surgery in NZ, which they started in 2007. With demand for surgical services steadily growing, the multi-million expansion of the hospital has been underway since 2020 and is being delivered in stages. 2024 marked the completion of a 2-storey extension to the Oropi Centre endoscopy unit by Naylor Love and now the final stage is a 10-bed inpatient ward, which is forecast for completion in mid-2026. The hospital has remained open and operational throughout the construction upgrades, which is a testament to Naylor Love’s extremely careful coordination to minimise disruption.
