GRACE LIN IS COMING TO DENVER!
Second Star to the Right is excited to host Grace Lin with Social Fabric Hub and Asian Girls Ignite on May 8. Grace will be in-conversation with one of our favorite local authors, Andrea Wang. Q&A, signing, and delicious food to follow the conversation.
Please note, this event will NOT be at the bookstore. It will be hosted at the Social Fabric Hub Community Center (67 Inverness Dr E Unit C Englewood, CO 80112).

You will see three different ticket options. One is free entry, one includes pre-ordering the Grace Lin's new book at a discount, and one is pre-ordering Grace Lin's new book with Andrea Wang's book at a bundle discount. The books will be available to purchase at the event for full price.
ABOUT THE AUTHORS:
Grace Lin is the award-winning and bestselling author and illustrator of Chinese Menu, When the Sea Turned to Silver, Starry River of the Sky, Where the Mountain Meets the Moon, The Year of the Dog, The Year of the Rat, Dumpling Days, and Ling & Ting, as well as picture books such as The Ugly Vegetables, A Big Bed for Little Snow, and A Big Mooncake for Little Star. Andrea Wang is an acclaimed author of children’s books. Her book Watercress was awarded the Caldecott Medal, a Newbery Honor, the Asian/Pacific American Award for Literature, a New England Book Award, and a Boston Globe-Horn Book Honor. Her other books, The Many Meanings of Meilan, Magic Ramen, and The Nian Monster, have also received awards and starred reviews. Her work explores culture, creative thinking, and identity. She is also the author of seven nonfiction titles for the library and school market. Andrea holds an M.S. in Environmental Science and an M.F.A. in Creative Writing for Young People. Asian Girls Ignite (AGI) is dedicated to empowering Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander (AANHPI) girls and gender-expansive youth in grades 6-12 to cultivate a strong sense of self and belonging. AGI offers culturally responsive, social-emotional learning programs centered on identity affirmation, storytelling, and leadership development.
