Living the In-Between – A Biodanza Workshop on Transition

How do we pass from one activity to another… from one state or situation to another?
How can we move through life’s many transitions — big and small — with more ease, fluidity, and grace?

We are constantly in motion, shifting from moment to moment, from mood to mood, from one phase of life to the next. Some changes are subtle, almost imperceptible. Others arrive with force, reshaping our lives in an instant. In all cases, transition is an essential part of being alive.

Biodanza offers a way to inhabit these moments of change with presence and vitality. Through music, movement, and connection, we learn to navigate transitions organically, allowing our bodies to show us the way toward integration and renewal.

🌿 We invite you to join us for a special Biodanza workshop focused entirely on the art of transition.
This session will feature two vivencias designed to awaken and support your inner capacity to:
✨ Flow from one moment to the next
✨ Welcome change with curiosity and confidence
✨ Stay centred in the midst of movement

Whether you’re navigating a life shift or simply seeking more fluidity in your daily rhythm, this workshop offers a safe, nourishing space to explore what it means to move through life with intention and trust.

This workshop is presented by 2 visiting facilitators from France;

Sylvain Porée and Zoë Ramsden.

Sylvain Porée, BIODANZA® System RT facilitator since 2012 and didactic teacher since 2019.
With my scientific background as a computer engineer, I sought to encounter people and life in
a different way. I practiced aikido, a pacifist martial art without competition, for 25 years, through
which I have evolved my relationship with others through the body.
I discovered dance as a meditation exercise in 2005 and then began practicing Biodanza in
2006. A year later, Biodanza became essential in my life, illuminating my relationships,
especially with my two children.
I have given classes for adults, children, asylum seekers, and people living with disabilities.
In 2019, I trained to become a didactician, committing myself further in the process of
transformation of our societies. Since then, I have led regular training modules in France and
abroad, while continuing to offer weekly classes.
I love to add my drop of water into the harmonious ocean of this world. To love living, more and
more, and to share it; this is my project.

Zoë Ramsden, BIODANZA® System RT facilitator since 2015, and currently undertaking
didactic teacher training. I began by offering Biodanza to asylum seekers during my training,
and have since given regular classes, and workshops for about seven years. I'm a mother and
an architect, negotiating the ups and downs of life like everyone else. Biodanza is fundamental
for me to create a life aligned with my passions and needs, and to discover and maximise my
potential, despite a burnout 30 years ago when I could hardly walk. The miraculous power of
Biodanza never ceases to amaze me and I feel privileged to witness and accompany the
transformation in those with whom I dance.
We have been a couple, and dancing together, for five years. We love creating workshops and
facilitating together; sharing, challenging, and complementing each other in order to offer the
best of our potential. Dancing in South Africa and Australia combines a number of our individual
and collective dreams... including the joy of sharing the poetry of the encounter with other fellow
dancers of life, 15 000 km from home, visiting the world and family.

We look forward to dancing with you!

What is Biodanza?

A dancing path to new ways of living and relating.

What we need to live harmoniously is intimacy, self-love, transcendence, fulfilling relationships and a nurturing environment. The objective of Biodanza is to improve quality of life through supporting these natural and fundamental needs.

The name Biodanza means “dance of life”, originating from "bios" which means "life" and "danza" in French which means "integrated movement full of meaning". Rolando Toro Araneda, who created the system, described it as a system:

  • Of affective integration - the ability to be in connection and relationship with the self, other people, life, and nature;
  • Of organic renovation - reducing stress and supporting our bodies to self-regulate and repair; and
  • Of relearning of our original life functions -living based on our original instincts, like resting or sleeping when we are tired;
  • Based on vivencias - an intense lived experience of the present;
  • Induced by dance, music and encounters - experiences of connection - with other people in a group.”
