You are invited to join us for our GALA DAY. GWWA will be showcasing our scholarship/bursary winners and announcing the 2022 scholarship/bursary winners.

We have also invited amazing speakers to join a morning panel discussion focusing on justice and advocacy and an there will be an afternoon chat with some remarkable women in science.

Join us as we listen to, ask questions of, and chat with the many people who will gather for our Gala Day.

Breakfast, morning tea, lunch, wine and cheese will be available and included in the price. Adult $25, Student $15.

Bookings close on Thursday, 22 September 2022.

We ask members of GWWA to join us for our AGM which will take place during the Gala Day event. During the AGM, a tour of St Catherine’s College has been arranged. You will need to book for the tour when purchasing your ticket online.

  • Assoc. Professor Fiona McGaughey PhD, expert in human
    rights mechanisms and modern slavery,
    winner of the GWWA Leah Cohen Scholarship.

  • Professor Cheryl Praeger AC FAA, Emeritus Professor of Mathematics at UWAS, former Foreign Secretary of
    the Australian Academy of Science, and first
    Western Australian recipient of the Prime Minister’s prize for science.
  • Dr Rhonda Taylor, Medical research scientist developing treatments for childhood muscle diseases.
