Its Finally here - the Grand Opening of Gatsbys Skyline and what a treat we have in store. Two brilliant shows, boasting some of WA's finest musicians in one night to get the venue off to a great start.
Event is 18+ and Dress is Semi formal - so dress to impress ladies and gents. As well as two brilliant performances, canapés and tapas are included in the ticket price.
To open the night, we have one Simone Craddock Multi-award winning Vocalist, Actress, Writer & Producer and of the most delightfully talented artist to grace WA performing her 'Birth of the Blues'.
The 'Birth of the Blues' quartet delivers a one hour extravaganza from the traditional spirituals of the Deep South to Rock 'n' Roll, Country & blues-feel standards, no one can resist the rhythmic lure & laughter of the Blues! Simone & her star-studded band summon the legends of the blues with the songs and stories of Bessie Smith, Robert Johnson, Amy Winehouse, Sammy Davis Jnr and more.
Simone Craddock won the 2020 FRINGE WORLD Music & Musicals Award for her critically acclaimed, box office smash-hit, Nina, Love Simone. In 2021 she went on to sweep the Music & Musicals awards for her sold-out seasons of Ella & Louis and Birth of the Blues! Tonight she returns to The Ballroom with her band of Perth Powerhouses, for a toe-tapping, hip-swaying, life-affirming resurrection of Birth of the Blues!

Get ready for the ultimate music celebration. Portia Clark presents “Women of Our Time” an authentic tribute to the greatest female musicians of our time performing songs made famous by Adele, Stevie Nicks, Tina Turner, Whitney Houston and more!
Born in Zambia and now a proud Australian citizen, Portia spent her youth singing in church until her late teens and music was her only salvation. Portia has performed before President George Bush and President Bill Clinton and recently released a duet with American country music legend Darius Rucker (Hootie & the Blowfish) that is trending on many Spotify playlists. Portia is currently recording tracks in Nashville & Australia with her writer Bekka Bramlett, a former member of Fleetwood Mac.
Portia will be backed by her fantastic band consisting of graduates from the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA) and musicians from the local Perth music scene.
