Grandinha Família Christmas Special
About the Artist
Join Amsterdam-based singer-songwriter Beth Aggett and Billy Marrows' Grandinha Família at the Pianodrome in Bruntsfield, Edinburgh, for the final stop of their Christmas EP launch tour, celebrating the release of 'Sing, Robin, Sing!'.
Expect a folky chamber-jazz set of original songs and traditional carols, performed with voice, guitar, trumpet and woodwinds, alongside Portuguese Young Musician of the Year 2025 Teresa Macedo Ferreira on viola. This ensemble presents a fresh, intimate take on the classic Christmas themes of winter, warmth, and nostalgia, staged inside the Pianodrome's striking amphitheatre built entirely from reclaimed pianos.
All EP sales go to World Child Cancer, continuing the fundraising work Billy began with his debut album 'Penelope', shortlisted for Album of the Year at the Parliamentary Jazz Awards, which raised over £6,000 in memory of his mother.
Don't miss the closing show of the ‘Sing, Robin, Sing!' Christmas tour, following stops in Amsterdam, Sheriff Hutton, and on London's Puppet Theatre Barge, which they have sold out for the last two years running.
