This time, BABUSHKA makes room for GRANDPAPA.

Just this once.

We don’t romanticise old age into a sentimental caricature of cuteness, wisdom and frailty. We celebrate the absurdity and wonder of life and love in the face of impermanence.

BABUSHKA - an art project showcasing amateur, emerging and mid-career multimedia artists who explore the grandmother theme through their dimensional, innovative, and exceptional creative practices.

Friday After Hours

5-7pm | Fri 16 October

An intimate quieter evening gallery viewing of GRANDPAPA, with complementary drinks, conversations with artists and live accordion music. An opportunity to connect with the works and purchase pieces. Tickets by donation, waived with artwork purchased.

A GRANDPAPA Saturday

4-10pm | Sat 17 October

The BABUSHKA event you know and love. A lively afternoon-to-evening celebration of GRANDPAPA, with gypsy jazz by award-winning saxophonist and accordionist Eddie Bronson, food available for purchase and BYO drinks. A gathering of good art, music and people.

Gallery Daily Viewing

10am-3pm | Tue 13 - Mon 19 October

Explore GRANDPAPA at your own pace throughout the week, chat with the curator, enquire about available works, and take in the exhibition surrounded by Paddington's cafés, shops and galleries.
