  7. Answering Submission Questions: Get detailed guidance on how to answer all common grant application questions. Learn to articulate your project's vision, objectives, and impact while meeting the funders' requirements.
  8. Examples and Exercises: Review plenty of real-world examples and participate in hands-on exercises to apply what you've learned.

Who Should Attend:

This course is designed specifically with NSW based visual artists in mind. However, artists from all disciplines will benefit, including musicians, writers, performers, and more. This course starts at the absolute beginning, assuming no prior knowledge, and provides a comprehensive guide to grant writing. 

Event Details: This is a two week course. Classes will run each Thursday from 10am - 2pm. See the following dates: 

 Thursday, 4 July 2024 10am - 2pm
 Thursday, 11 July 2024 10am - 2pm

Location: Byron Community Centre, Wategos 2 room. (69 Jonson Street Byron Bay)

Registration Fee: $350 (Early bird discount $300 pay by MONDAY 17 June)

About the Instructor:

Shanti Des Fours (B.A. Art History, M.A. Communication for Social Change) is an accomplished grant writer with a decade of experience in securing funding for both arts and community organisations, along with individual artists. She has a proven track record of raising over $1 million in grant funding, and her success rate is well above the industry standard. She has successfully secured grant funding ranging from $250 to $250,000 for a variety of projects. She is also a practicing artist who has secured grant funding for her own exhibitions and projects, and an experienced workshop facilitator who has taught fundraising and grant writing to volunteers, staff, and boards of numerous not for profit organisations. 

Shanti’s extensive knowledge and hands-on approach will equip you with the tools and confidence needed to navigate the grant writing process. As a highly sought-after consultant, she has helped numerous arts and community organisations, as well as individual artists, achieve their funding goals
