We will take a pasture walk where Jim will help us identify grass species, and will show us how to estimate the feed value of a space of pasture, as well as the number of animals the space could carry. We will also learn about grazing management for both time and space.
Jim teaches an understanding that healthy soils create healthy foods for healthy people. He shows the animals are the conduit between healthy soil and what people eat.
As an Eater and supporter of local agriculture, it's important for you to participate.
