Grasses of the Merri Merri
Event description
Come and join ecologist Michael Longmore from Merri Creek Management Committee and garden coordinator Kate Hill for a grass ID event. We will start at Newlands Neighbourhood House Garden, then make our way down to and along a stretch of the Merri Creek, before returning to the house. Throughout the walk we will stop to ID and learn about indigenous grasses.
About your host
Michael Longmore is restoration manager at Merri Creek Management Committee, with a particular interest in botany.

This is an outdoor event in a garden with uneven surfaces including crushed gravel, compacted granitic sand, mulch, grass and concrete pathways. Places to this event are strictly limited. If you are no longer able to attend the event, please let us know by emailing programs@necchi.org so that we can pass your ticket on to another keen participant!
This workshop forms part of the Coburg Community Garden Festival Program and is a My Smart Garden event proudly presented by Merri-bek City Council on the unceded land of the Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung people of the Kulin nation.
