Grassland tour - Evans St, Sunbury

The Evans St grassland is a unique example of a high-quality patch of critically endangered native vegetation in the heart of the urban landscape.

Join members of Jacksons Creek EcoNetwork and Hume City Council for a spring tour of the reserve.

You'll learn about the past and ongoing conservation management of the reserve, including burning, monitoring and weed control. And we will point out some of the beautiful and iconic flora species of the Natural Temperate Grasslands of the Victorian Volcanic Plains.

Please dress for the weather conditions of the day. Wear a hat, sturdy footwear and bring some drinking water. The site is flat and a small area, so only a very short distance of walking is required on this tour. Afternoon tea will be provided by our volunteers, please feel free to show off your baking skills and bring something to share!
