Grays Harbor Baking Club: Seasonal Fruit Bakes
Description
Grays Harbor Baking Club – 3rd Meetup - PLEASE READ!
This month's Baking Club will be held at the Highland Golf Course in Cosmopolis -- our first time at this venue! We'll be set up in their indoor/outdoor event space, with plenty of room to enjoy desserts and spend time together.
If you'd like to make an afternoon of it, feel free to come early and purchase a bucket of balls at the driving range or play a round of golf before the event. ⛳🍓
🍓 Theme: Seasonal Fruit Bakes
For this meetup, our theme is Seasonal Fruit Bakes.
Summer is arriving in the Pacific Northwest, bringing some of the best fruit of the year. Strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, blackberries, marionberries, tayberries, cherries, peaches, nectarines, apricots, plums, and even rhubarb are all in season or just around the corner.
Pies, cakes, tarts, cobblers, crisps, galettes, pastries, cookies, bars, and other fruit-filled desserts are all welcome. Family favorites, classic recipes, and creative new bakes inspired by local farm stands, backyard gardens, and farmers markets are equally encouraged.
Your bake can feature any fruit that feels like summer to you. Simple or fancy, traditional or creative, it's entirely up to you how you interpret the theme.
Skill level does not matter. We're here to share desserts, discover new bakes, and enjoy good company together.
Ticket Information
Tickets are required to attend and help us plan for space, seating, and overall flow.
All tickets reserve a spot at the event. Space is limited but you can always join the waitlist if it is sold out and I will reach out if spots open up.
No refunds are available, however tickets are transferrable if you can't make it and have someone you want to give your ticket to. Let me know ASAP if you can no longer attend so we can fill the spot.
Ticket Tiers
🍰 Solo Baker Ticket - $10
For attendees who plan to bring a baked good to share.
Reserves your spot at the event
You’ll receive a short baked-good sign-up form after purchasing so we can avoid too much overlap
🍰 Baker + Companion Ticket - $26
For bakers who would like to bring one guest.
Includes two reserved spots
One baked good is brought between both attendees
You’ll receive one baked-good sign-up form after purchase
Baker + Companion tickets are perfect if you’d like to bring a friend, partner, or family member along to enjoy the event together. Your Companion can enjoy the event without their own baked good.
💳 Payment Details
At this time, Venmo and PayPal are the only accepted payment methods.
Venmo: @jayneivana
PayPal: @jayneivana
Payment must be sent within 24 hours of reserving your ticket to hold your spot. If payment is not received within that time frame, the spot may be released to someone else.
If you’d really like to attend but cost is a barrier, please don’t hesitate to DM me (@graysharborbakingclub on Instagram, Grays Harbor Baking Club on Facebook). I’ll always reserve a small number of community passes for situations like this. No explanation is needed. I will plan to rotate them between those who need it for each event.
Baked-Good Sign-Up Form
After purchasing your ticket, you’ll receive a link in your order confirmation email to a shared spreadsheet and a short form where you can see what others are planning to bring and let us know what you’re bringing. This helps us coordinate desserts so we don’t end up with too many of the same item.
Recipe Swap
Optional: Bring 2-5 recipe cards (index card, printed on paper, whatever works for you!) to go along with your baked good.
Food & Allergy Disclaimer
This event involves sharing and consuming food prepared by fellow attendees in home kitchens.
By attending this event, you acknowledge and understand that:
You are voluntarily consuming food prepared by others
You do so at your own risk
Neither the event organizers nor the venue are liable for any adverse reactions, including food allergies or other health-related risks
If you have food allergies or sensitivities, please take care and ask questions before sampling. While there will be labels for everyone to fill out and place next to their bakes, all attendees are responsible for their own choices.
Supporting the Venue
This meetup is hosted at a local venue we’re excited to support. While not required, we strongly encourage attendees to purchase a drink during the event as a way to support the space and help make future Grays Harbor Baking Club meetups possible.
I can’t wait to meet you, try your bakes, and enjoy your company here in Grays Harbor. 💛
If you have any questions before purchasing a ticket, feel free to reach out.
Cheers

P.S - Don't forget to open your Order Confirmation email and read the contents! It will have the links you need to add your baked good.
FAQs
- Do I need to bring something to attend?
If you purchase a Solo Baker Ticket, yes, bringing a baked good is required.
If you purchase a Baker + Companion Ticket, only one baked good is required between the two of you. You’ll receive a short sign-up form after purchasing your ticket to help coordinate what everyone is bringing.
- Can I attend if I’m new to baking or not very experienced?
Absolutely. This club is beginner-friendly and focused on enjoyment and connection, not perfection. Simple bakes and first-time attempts are all welcome.
- Can I come even if I’m not bringing a bake?
Attendance is limited to ticketed bakers and their companions. If future events include non-baker tickets, we’ll announce those ahead of time.
- What kinds of baked goods are okay?
Cakes, cookies, bars, breads, pastries, and similar treats are all great - sweet OR savory. The sign-up form helps us avoid too much overlap, but there’s no need to overthink it.
- What about food allergies or dietary restrictions?
This event involves consuming food prepared by other attendees in home kitchens. If you have allergies or sensitivities, please ask questions before sampling and only eat what you feel comfortable with. There will be labels for every person to fill out and place next to their baked good when they arrive; however, by attending, you acknowledge that you are consuming shared food at your own risk, and that the organizers and venue are not responsible for any adverse reactions.
- Where is the link to sign up which baked good I'm bringing?
Once your successfully RSVP, you will receive a Confirmation email for your order. Open that email and scroll down to find a message from me with all the links. If you lose this email, please reach out to me.
- Why is there a price to attend?
This is a community meetup, not a business. The ticket simply helps cover shared supplies like plates, napkins, cutlery, take-home boxes, and small club extras so the cost doesn’t fall on one person.
- Why is the baker + companion ticket more expensive?
We price companion tickets higher because space is limited and desserts are shared communally. Bakers are contributing food to the table, while companions are attending purely as guests. The pricing helps us keep the room comfortable, the dessert-to-people ratio reasonable, and the event sustainable while we figure out what works best.
- What if I really want to come but can’t afford the ticket right now?
We want this to stay accessible. If the ticket cost is a barrier and you’d still like to attend, feel free to DM me (@graysharborbakingclub) or email me. I keep a very small number of community passes available each event.
- I don't have Venmo or Paypal! Can I still purchase a ticket?
Unfortunately, these are the only two ways to pay at this time. I don't want to deal with credit cards or cash (will revisit this if needed). If you would like to attend and do not have either of these payment apps, my best advice would be to ask a family member or friend who has one to send a payment and you reimburse them with cash.
- Is this a class or workshop?
No, this is not instructional, and there’s no pressure to be “good” at baking. This is about enjoyment, sharing, and connection.
- I still have questions! How do I contact you?
That's okay! Please feel free to reach out to me with your question (@graysharborbakingclub on Instagram or send a message to the Grays Harbor Baking Club page on Facebook).
You can also email me at graysharborbakingclub@gmail.com.
