Thu, 5 Nov, 6:30pm - 8:30pm AWST

Description

Remember, remember the Fifth of November.

Gunpowder, treason and plot.

What happens when a failed attempt to blow up parliament leaves you dead but long remembered, lingering as a spirit, waiting to finally be forgotten so you can move on to the next realm?

We invite you to find out by joining us to celebrate the launch of The Book of the After by Rebecca Higgie on Guy Fawkes Night.

The Book of the After is a love story, a ghost story, a bonfire of our past and our future, daring us to ask – what happens when we die?

Hosted by the City of Perth Library, this is a great big summer read that’s the perfect way to end the 2026 Fremantle Press Great Big Book Club series. Rebecca Higgie will be interviewed by fellow Fremantle Press author Emily Paull.

Books will be available to purchase on the night, with the author on hand for signing.

Bring a friend, bring your book club or just bring yourself! Tickets are limited so RSVP today.

We can’t wait to see you there.
