Great Lakes Garden & Country Charm Day Tour

Join Port Bus for a relaxed and enjoyable Great Lakes Day Tour, filled with plants, local flavours, country hospitality and a very special sanctuary visit.

Departing the Port Bus depot at approximately 09:15, we begin our journey south, collecting passengers along the coastal road through to Kew. Our first stop is Greenpatch Organic Seeds & Plants, a much-loved local nursery specialising in organic seeds, edible plants, herbs, vegetables, fruiting plants and garden goodies. Whether you are a keen gardener or simply enjoy browsing, there will be plenty to tempt you — so don’t forget to bring a bag or box for any purchases!

Continuing further south, we arrive at Great Lakes Paddocks, a beautiful country property known for its welcoming atmosphere, local wines and relaxed rural setting. Here we’ll enjoy wine tastings before sitting down to a delicious grazing-style lunch featuring cheese and charcuterie platters, bruschetta, beef or chicken with salsa and soft tacos, mixed pastries and a leafy seasonal green salad.

With full bellies, it is time to fill our hearts with a visit to Lucky Stars Sanctuary, where we’ll learn more about the amazing work they do caring for animals in need. This special stop is sure to be both heartwarming and memorable, offering the chance to connect with the sanctuary’s purpose and the beautiful animals who call it home.

After a lovely day exploring the Great Lakes region, we begin our journey home, arriving back in Port Macquarie at approximately 17:00.
