A Great Southern Nights Event. An Illawarra Folk Club Concert featuring Michael Simic and Dear Violet. Presented under the Great Southern Nights NSW Government initiative ( DNSW & ARIA). This has been jointly organised by GSN, the Illawarra Folk Club and the Albion Park RSL Club.
Michael Simic is stepping out from behind his Mikelangelo moniker to put his solo career front and centre and perform under his given name. His music and lyrics draw on the evocative beauty of love and nature and can melt even the hardest heart. Simic is a prolific and impressive songwriter and an arresting performer with a powerful voice and presence.
Michael is touring in November to launch the single Dark Moon, from his forthcoming album.
He is influenced by his Balkan heritage. The music draws on the European roots of folk music blended with swing blues.
Dear Violet are a young Australian trio from the Illawarra. Their enchanting harmonies accompanied by acoustic guitar are beautifully unique. With a wide repertoire of songs from the 40's to the 2000's along with a collection of originals, there is always a song for everyone.
Entry tickets are : $38 IFC member ( $20 Entry + $18 meal)/ $43 Non-IFC member ( $25+ $18 meal )

Concert starts 7.00pm. Doors open from 6.00pm. Meals will be served from 6.30pm
All tickets must be pre-booked including meal choices, which will be available from a drop down during the booking process.
Menu Options served direct to your table from 6.30pm onwards:

3) Honey Chicken with Rice
4) Chicken Schnitzel with gravy & seasonal Slaw mix
5) Fish & Chips with seasonal Slaw mix + Tar-tar sauce
6) Vegetarian - Chilli Garlic Seasonal Veg + Rice
7) Vegetarian - Garlic Seasonal Veg + Rice
8) Vegetarian - Smashed Avo Toasty & chips + Tomato Salsa, pepita seed, feta cheese and Maple Glaze.
Seating will be allocated on a first come, best seat available.You will be placed wherever there are vacant seats appropriately spaced for your party. You may sit together if you are family members or friends who are comfortable sitting together, max 30 persons per table (you can nominate during the booking process). In all other cases, every second seat will remain vacant and every second table will remain vacant.
