Following the success of our Great Southern Women's Adventure Network (GSWAN) in 2022, we are starting 2023 in the water with Surfing!

Supported by the Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries and designed to give women across the Great Southern region a chance to participate in outdoor recreation programs in a safe, supported and fun environment. Come and met like-minded women and learn to catch a wave or hone your existing skills with Outdoors Great Southern and Due South Surfing Academy!

Led by experienced instructors, you will learn:

where to find the best waves
caring for your gear
body positioning
beach and surf safety
Standing up and catching your first wave!

All equipment is provided (Boards/Ropes/Wetsuits) however you are welcome to bring your own if you like.

Location: Either Middleton Beach or Muttonbird Beach (Weather/Wind Dependent)

When: Sunday afternoons 1pm - 4pm

Minimum age for the event is 18 (or 15 if accompanied by an adult participant)
