EMPOWER your students for the real-world
ACCELERATE ‘future-ready’ learning
At Greater Foundations23, you’ll hear directly from industry leaders about the skills and mindset needed for the jobs of today – and tomorrow.
The professional development event will be held at the Resources Centre of Excellence on Friday 3 March, from 8.00am to 3.15pm followed by networking onboard the Wildcat, departing from the Mackay Marina at 4.00pm, returning at 5.30pm.
Curriculum expert Nicole Dyson from Future Anything will empower you and your colleagues to unlock future-focused pathways that guide students from classrooms to ‘new’ careers in the Greater Whitsunday region.
Teachers will enjoy insights from industry leaders in emerging and existing sectors including manufacturing; aerospace; biofutures and aquaculture and two immersive industry experiences in mining and tourism to provide a complete picture of the depth and breadth of regional opportunities.
This innovative event will open your mind and transform your thinking about the real-world opportunities for our region’s students – and the role you play in helping them reach their potential.
Please ensure you wear enclosed shoes (no stilettos) at this event to take part in the onsite tours on the day.
