Green Drinks: A Taste of Hope
Event description
A Feast of Hope — Where Every Bite Makes a Difference
Join KiwiHarvest Queenstown & Central Lakes and Sustainable Queenstown at the Hilton Queenstown Resort & Spa for A Taste of Hope, an unforgettable fundraising dinner celebrating food, connection, and community action for good. Following the release of Wao Aotearoa and the Southern Lakes Kai Collective’s latest report, A Taste of Hope brings our region’s food resilience into focus and invites you to be part of the solution.
The findings are clear: our region has less than five days’ worth of food in the event of a major disaster. Once 95% self-sufficient, we now produce less than 5% of what we eat, and with population growth and global supply pressures, our food system is increasingly at risk.
In response, we’ve created an extraordinary dining experience that celebrates our local growers and showcases what’s possible when community, creativity, and purpose come together.
Your Evening Includes:
✨ A three-course, sustainably inspired menu by Hilton chefs featuring regenerative lamb and beef, wild venison, local greens, honey from the Hilton hives, Remarkable Fungi mushrooms, local strawberries, ice cream and creatively reimagined rescued ingredients. vegan menu option available
💚 A locally crafted welcome drink on arrival and a silent auction of incredible local experiences, all supporting community resilience.
🌱 The opportunity to directly support KiwiHarvest, rescuing surplus food and redistributing it to those in need, and Sustainable Queenstown, empowering locals to take action for our environment and future.
