Green Drinks: Bike Ride & Beers

This event has passed Get tickets

Event description

Green Drinks is back for 2023 and in honour of this month's Aotearoa Bike Challenge we're getting out on the Frankton Trail on Thursday 16th Feb - join us!

Meet at Frankton Beach BBQ area by 6.30pm with your bike and helmet (and bike lights), and we'll head off along the trail into the Queenstown Gardens.

We'll kick back and have a pitstop in the Gardens with a Q&A with Paul Speedy, local bike commuter extraordinaire, and an ebike chat from the legends at Charegabout, before heading back along the trail to Altitude Brewing for an evening bevvie and a chance to get up close with Chargeabout's new Benno bikes!

THINGS TO KNOW

🚴 No need to wear lycra or mountain biking gear - whatever you feel comfortable and fabulous in is good - fancy dress very welcome!!
🚴 All levels of biking experience are welcome, especially if you're keen to get on your bike more!
🚴 Bring a bottle of water and a snack for the gardens if you'd like.
🚴 Dress for the weather, we will go ahead if it's raining lightly.
🚴 We will be there to lead the ride and take safety precautions, but you are ultimately responsible for yourself so please make sure your brakes are working before we start!

Note: we will officially end at Altitude Brewing (along the Frankton Trail) but will be biking back to Frankton Beach (where we started) afterwards.
