Event description

Sustainable Queenstown’s Green Drinks is back for 2025!

We’re starting the year with a bang and heading outdoors. Partnering with our friends at Whakatipu Reforestation Trust, we are going to do our part in: Reforesting the Whakatipu.

Our event is on Thursday, the 20th of February from 6.30 to 8.30pm — we’ll meet at the Whakatipu Reforestation Trust Nursery at Jardines Park, Kelvin Heights for an evening dedicated to returning native trees to the Whakatipu Basin. The team at the Trust will tell us all about their programmes before we roll up our sleeves and get our hands dirty with a bit of mahi to help out the project. We’ll get around the planting table to pot up native seedlings, ready to be planted around Tāhuna.

It wouldn’t be Green Drinks without a drink or two and some social time. Thanks to our friends at Canyon Brewing we’ll have some delicious Canyon Gold beers ice cold and ready to go as we gather around the BBQ and have some outstanding kai provided by McKibbon's of Royalburn.

It’s going to be an awesome night of learning about and helping with local conservation, sipping on some locally made beers, dining on some delicious food and connecting with the community in the way that only Green Drinks can. Green Drinks is back — we’ll see you there.
