Green Drinks: Surplus to Sublime

Event description

After a sell-out debut last year, we're back with KiwiHarvest to bring you a Trust the Chef style interactive evening celebrating good food, a beautiful community and reducing food waste.

This year, the evening will be hosted at the Millhouse at Millbrook, where their skilled chefs will be creating a three-course meal using rescued food collected by the Queenstown KiwiHarvest team during the week. Fresh produce from Millbrook’s Kitchen Garden will be used too.

This rare event will showcase what can be created from perfectly good food that would otherwise be heading to our landfills.

We’ll start the evening at 6pm with a tour of Millbrook’s Kitchen Garden* and a complimentary glass of bubbly from Gibbston Valley Winery, ready to be seated in the Millhouse for 7pm. *this tour is optional, you are welcome to relax at the Millhouse before 7pm or arrive ready for a 7pm start.

Between courses we'll hear from:

🍓 our local KiwiHarvest team about the incredible mahi (work) they do in our community to rescue and redistribute food

🍅 the Millbrook team about the resort’s food sustainability initiatives

Plus we'll be hosting a silent auction with prizes from RealNZ, Broken Heart Spirits, Queenstown Wine Trail, Bike Glendhu, Over The Top Golf and more…

Join us for this unique dinner event on Monday 21st November and help us celebrate the incredible work KiwiHarvest does in our district and across Aotearoa New Zealand.

Tickets are $120 and limited. We recommend booking your group in one booking so we can make sure you’ll be sitting together.

Please let us know of any dietary requirements or allergies when you book.

Proceeds from the evening will be split equally between KiwiHarvest and Sustainable Queenstown.

*Huge thank you to Ziptrek Ecotours who chose this event to be the recipient of its Locals Day fundraiser, which will cover our costs and allow for more to be donated to KiwiHarvest and Sustainable Queenstown. And to Gibbston Valley Winery for sponsoring the event with a generous donation of wine.
