Green Drinks Topic: Predator Control
Date: Friday 23rd May 2025 3pm - 430pm

Tairāwhiti Environment Centre in partnership with MyImprint, Tahu and The Chamber of Commerce presents Green Drinks. A monthly networking event where we discuss sustainability topics.
Each event features special guests from within the sustainability space plus the free time to mingle and meet like-minded people
This event is for:
- Businesses undertaking or interested in undertaking sustainability initiatives
- Sustainability professionals who want to network with others in your field
- Ecologists, NGO's, and others working for te Taiao
May's event will focus on 'Predator Control'
- Steve Sawyer from Ecoworks will talk us through all we need to know, including:
- The problem animal pests cause in our region.
- Some of the best and latest trap contraptions for your business and household.
- How you can play your part (business and community) in protecting native wildlife from predators
- Amy England from GDC will talk about their urban backyard trapping programme
- Tairāwhiti Environment Centre will talk about their Trap Library and support services
If you are a local group undertaking predator control, come and share what you are doing.
There will be a 15-minute workshop to identify some challenges and solutions for your business/our region around predator control.
