Green Drinks - The Electric Election

This month's Green Drinks welcomes Jenny, Data Generalist and Project Manager at Rewiring Aotearoa, for a timely and thought-provoking kōrero about electrification — and why Aotearoa is closer to an electric future than we might think.

New Zealand has already passed the "electrification tipping point," where it's cheaper to run our homes and businesses off locally made electrons than imported fossil fuels. So what's the hold up? Jenny will explore how to build bipartisan support for electrification by tailoring messaging to decision makers across the political spectrum — and how we can harness Aotearoa's electric opportunity to push all parties to go bigger on renewables this election.

Whether you're interested in renewable energy, climate policy, or simply want to understand what an electric Aotearoa could look like — this is an evening not to miss.
