Green Drinks: Walk & Talk at Bobs Cove with Southern Lakes Sanctuary
Event description
Sustainable Queenstown Green Drinks is BACK!
The always popular monthly Green Drinks from Sustainable Queenstown is back for 2024 - with the first event on Thursday, February 22nd. With a new year, it’s time to spice things up – we are taking the Green Drinks out of the pub and into the wilderness.
Green Drinks: Walk & Talk at Bobs Cove with Southern Lakes Sanctuary
This unique event combines some of our favourite things - getting outside and going for a walk, learning about biodiversity and conservation, catching up with like-minded folks and having a beverage to top it all off.
Partnering with Southern Lakes Sanctuary - we will go for an hour-long walk on the breathtaking Bobs Cove Track where we will learn about the conservation efforts that Southern Lakes Sanctuary are working towards. We’ll learn about their trapping efforts (with some hands-on experience!), their goal of promoting biodiversity and what we can all do to help out.
After the walk, we’ll gather on the beach for a complimentary drink and some social time.
Our friends at AJ Hackett are big supporters of The Southern Lakes Sanctuary and are providing FREE transport to the event. Space is limited to the first 25 who sign up – they will provide bus transport from The Station Building and back after the event.
🎟️ Tickets are $5 and are available now.
“We’re an active community and it’s great for Green Drinks to embrace that. This is going to be a fun and energetic opportunity to connect with a great group of people doing some great mahi for conservation - right where the work is being done!” – Scott Kennedy, Sustainable Queenstown Event Manager.
