Green Mingle March 2025
Event description
The Green Mingle is the Partnership’s monthly networking event. It offers individuals and organisations the opportunity to meet in an informal setting, make connections, share ideas, and learn about innovative projects and initiatives in Bristol.
March’s Green Mingle will have a focus on the Net Zero Finance Co-Innovation Lab project, funded by Horizon Europe and led by Bristol City Council, which aims aims to create a series of financial mechanisms to speed up and increase investment in climate action and support zero carbon business growth.
Within this project, partners Bristol Climate & Nature Partnership, BBRC and Abundance Ltd are supporting the development of a series of financial vehicles and approaches to accelerate decarbonisation of the city, facilitating investment and supporting zero carbon business growth.
Bristol is pushing towards its net zero goals, and we have many technical solutions to decarbonise the city’s energy, homes and transport. However, whilst the technology is available, there are still barriers to implementing it. One major barrier is funding. It is estimated that decarbonising Bristol will cost £7.8bn and it is currently unclear how these funds will be leveraged.
At the Mingle Bristol City Council will share an overview of the project and Karl Harder from Abundance will talk about an innovative new platform which will allow citizens to invest in net zero projects. There will also be an opportunity to connect with and hear about the work of other project partners BBRC and Bristol Climate & Nature Partnership too!
The event is free to attend, but please reserve a space. This month, the Mingle will take place at The Foundation at Triodos. Free drinks and vegan nibbles will be provided.
