Has someone already asked you about Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF)? A promoter, sponsor, artist, fan, or even a colleague? Did you know how to answer?

Music connects people across the world, but artist travel remains one of the sector's most complex emissions challenges to solve.

Understanding the role of Sustainable Aviation Fuel

Both the Live Green Artist Rider and the Climate Transition Plan 2030 identify SAF as a potential tool for reducing the climate impact of flying.

Yet across the live music industry, there is still little consensus on what works, what is credible, and where SAF genuinely fits within a broader decarbonisation strategy.

Join the Industry discussion

onboard:earth, the live event industry’s travel-focused environmental charity, are convening the Green Room with industry experts including SAF experts from SkyNRG to share their knowledge and insights on the role of Sustainable Aviation Fuel in addressing emissions from artist and event air travel.

This is a small, candid session for people in the live music and event sector interested in SAF; particularly those who book, manage and move artists.

Join us to look at the role of SAF and gain clarity on how and when it can be deployed.

This is a space for honest discussion, shared learning, and industry-wide clarity on one of the most talked-about, and least understood, topics in sustainable event travel.

Cutting through the noise: what credible SAF looks like, and the miscommunications to avoid
Who pays? Artists, bookers, festivals or promoters, and how that changes with residency models and exclusivity clauses

The practicalities: how to calculate the costs for one flight, a tour or a stadium show of air travel
