Turning food scraps to fertilizer!! Come and learn from Rob Gulley (Green Services) all about composting food and organic waste, worm farming & the Bokashi bin method.Â
TWIN BIN COMPOSTING -great if you have a backyard!
WORM FARMING - great if you have a patio or balcony garden or you just want that extra scrummy plant food. Red compost worms turn lots of fruit & vegie scraps into highly concentrated goodness for plants!
BOKASHI - works well for those away from home a lot or who have a wormfarm but want to deal with meaty, fishy, starchy scraps. This method  is great if you have a small garden to bury the scraps in, after fermenting with special microbes. Tomatoes, fruit trees, most plants love bokashi!
Contamination in our waste streams is an issue which with a bit of thought and action, we can overcome. Be a Great Sort and separate your waste.
Arrive 9.45am for a 10am start. Meeting in the Crellin St carpark (town side of school).
