Explore the hidden world inside flowers with biochemist, senior science teacher and experimental farmer Dr Shane Simonsen.

Young participants will examine and carefully dissect flowers ranging from simple to intricate, identify their different parts and create detailed botanical drawings. Shane will introduce the science of flower anatomy and pollination before revealing how this knowledge allows people to breed new plant varieties.
