Due to a small number of people, this is a unique opportunity to chat, share a meal, ask questions, and be in the energy of Rinponche! And share some laughs, of course, Rinpoche has a great sense of humor :-)

After the potluck, there will be time for individual blessings (not a part of the event. Individual blessings are available upon request. Ask Edyth. Donations are welcome).

Green Tara empowerment

connects practitioners with Green Tara's powerful and compassionate energy. It is a blessing for all Buddhas’ acitivities, spiritual transformation and overcoming obstacles on the path to enlightenment.

Mother Tara liberates living beings from samsara, from true suffering or problems. You can relate to these particular sufferings of human beings, such as birth, old age, sickness, and death. By meeting undesirable objects and experiencing aversion; or not finding desirable objects, or finding them but gaining no satisfaction. All these are the problems of true suffering. If you rely upon Tara by taking refuge in her and doing Tara practices, Tara liberates you from all these true sufferings.

We pray to Tara to be freed from mental illusions and negative emotions that prevent us from seeing true freedom and achieving enlightenment of body, speech, and mind, not only for our benefit but for the benefit of all sentient beings.

About the Teacher

Thepo Tulku Rinpoche is a world-renowned human-rights activist, revered spiritual leader, and beloved Buddhist teacher who has dedicated his life to spreading love, compassion, and wisdom. Thepo is known for his selflessness and dedication to helping others. He is joyful, humble, and has impacted countless lives through his teachings and guidance. Born in Tibet, as a young child, he was recognized as the 8th Thepo Tulku. At the age of 5, he was carried through the mountain paths on the shoulders of monks who also shepherded the Dalai Lama into India to escape the Chinese occupation. Thepo worked in India as a cultural advisor on a joint project with the Tibetan Library Archive and the Smithsonian from 1975 to 1979, when he moved to the US to continue his work on the project until 1980. He currently lives in Santa Barbara and works at Renaud's Patisserie Cafe in the Arlington Plaza on State Street.

All donations go directly to Rinpoche Thepo Tulku's and his retirement fund in gratitude for his service and kindness in spreading Buddhist wisdom around the world.
