Green Thumbs Garden Club
Description
Green Thumb Garden Club – Carer Community Garden
A friendly, come‑as‑you‑are garden club for carers who enjoy a bit of sunshine, a bit of dirt under the nails, or simply a peaceful corner with a warm cuppa.
Over the next few weeks we’ll be planting new seedlings, weeding, tidying the beds, and starting fresh beds of herbs and veggies, all at a relaxed, easy pace.
Join in when it suits- this garden is FOR YOU. Registration helps us plan, but it’s not required. Pop in every fortnight or just swing by when you feel like a breather.
No gardening skills needed. You can potter, rake a few leaves, water the basil, chat with other carers, or just enjoy the scent of the rosemary. Everything grown -flowers, herbs, and produce is for all of us to share.
🌿 What’s happening in the garden 🌿
Seedling adventures -lets raise seed in our seedling trays together-herbs, veggies & flowers
Light garden care -watering, weeding, gentle upkeep
Creative planting -fun, low‑pressure planting sessions
Carer catch‑ups -relaxed chats and connection
Shared harvest -food and flowers for all carers
Think of it as a self‑care ritual: hands in soil, fresh air, growing something real, and eventually taking home what we’ve nurtured together.
Tea and coffee will be provided, and every attendee will receive a gardening starter kit filled with tools, gloves, plant tags and more.
