    GreenHouse Residency Workshops


    Join us for an extraordinary series of workshops led by renowned performing artists.

    The GreenHouse: National Artist Residency, offers an immersive, creative development residency to bring artists from all over Australia to our region to create live performance.

    Each residency will provide our community with a creative workshop within their specialised practice. 

    Most of these will focus on performing arts but will explore deeper themes within them. 

    If you are an aspiring performer, theater maker, practicing actors, writers, directors, producers, or just interested in our creative community please, join our workshops.

    Crafting your personal story from memory to performance
    Join actors and writers Karli Evans & Kerrie Simon-Lawrence as they invite women 40+ to craft and share their unique stories, developing them into performance-ready works using engaging storytelling techniques.

    Making Theatre with Hurrah Hurrah 
    Join theatre makers Hurrah Hurrah as they share exercises and tools to help you generate ideas for a new work of theatre, or flesh out an existing one. There is no right or wrong way to make a new work of theatre. Hurrah Hurrah's unique style draws on many physical and play based traditions. Their new work The Cardinal Rules mashes deeply personal story telling with heightened theatricality, movement and object play.

    Autobiographical Theatre Workshop
    You! Yes, you! It’s time to bring your story to the stage. You don’t need to have climbed Mount Everest or won Australian of the Year – your everyday life is a mountain, and you already have all the accomplishments you need. With a little honesty, a touch of humor, and some theatrical flair, your experiences can be transformed into something magical.

    ‘Live Cinema’ Workshop

    An introductory masterclass in the techniques of live cinema.

    In this workshop, participants will collaborate with re:group to recreate a short sequence of live cinema on stage: a trailer, a scene, a montage from your favourite film or TV show. The workshop will allow you to create, wear and trade the varying hats of actor, camera operator, editor and director, and learn how re:group use collaborative film techniques to create live cinema performance. The workshop is open to artists and performers from all backgrounds. No experience necessary, just a love of theatre, film or both. The workshop will be led by 2 members of the collective.

    Date:  Saturday 16th November  

    Time: 1pm- 3pm 

    Location: Library Museum Activity Room, 540 Kiewa St, Albury NSW 2640

    Participants bring: Come with a short scene in mind from a movie that you are familiar with that can be found on YouTube

    Please note this workshop is for 16+
