What is the Grief and Loss group?

The grief and loss group is a supportive online group for any adult wanting to understand the stages of grief and loss, develop the ability to live around the grief and loss, and increase the positive feelings in their lives.

Grief and loss can make you question whether what you are feeling is “normal” and wondering when life will get “better”. It can be hard to accept when life changes without warning or a loved one passes on. These are normal and natural responses.

This group aims to provide a compassionate, supportive, and non-judgmental space where you can learn to recognise the dynamics of grief and loss, strengthen your coping skills, and learn practical strategies for engaging with life after loss.

Whether you are experiencing a fresh loss or your grief still stings despite many years, you are invited to attend this group. You are welcome to participate at your own pace and do not have to share personal stories (unless you want to).

Facilitators: Counselling students under professional supervision

First Session: Wednesday 2nd September 2026

Time: 5:30pm-7:30pm

Who is it for?

This group is for adults who have experienced any type of grief and/or loss. The grief or loss can be new or long-lasting. You are welcome to attend for any type of grief or loss, regardless of whether you see it as big or small.

**No children under the age of 18 are to attend adult events.
