Grenache Uncorked: A Masterclass with Andrés Aragón MS
Description
Grenache is having a moment that perhaps it always should have had! For decades, it quietly played a supporting role in some of the world's most famous wine blends. Today, however, winemakers are allowing Grenache to take centre stage, revealing a variety capable of extraordinary elegance, perfume, complexity and longevity.
Join Andrés Aragón MS, one of Australia's most accomplished sommeliers, for an in-depth exploration of one of the wine world's most captivating grape varieties.
Across the evening, you'll taste 13 wines, travelling through many of Grenache's greatest homes, from the historic vineyards of Spain and the Southern Rhône, to Australia's revered old vines and exciting modern expressions. Along the way, you'll discover how climate, soil, vine age and winemaking profoundly influence style, producing wines that range from bright and ethereal to rich, savoury and deeply complex.
Whether you're already a Grenache devotee or have only encountered it as part of a blend, this masterclass will challenge expectations and reveal why the variety has become one of the most exciting stories in contemporary wine.
This is a rare opportunity to taste exceptional Grenache with one of the country's foremost wine educators.
Deepen your knowledge or simply enjoy some extraordinary wines, and an individualised cheese platter, this promises to be a fascinating evening.
