Grief Circle
Description
What:
Grief Circle is about meeting the heart and any unresolved emotions of loss, grief and vulnerability.
Those parts of us that aren't easily held or met in everyday 'circles' and spaces.
Practical ways to reconcile loss
How to meet grief & welcome our wholeness
How to meet the full spectrum of our hearts
How to feel safe even when we are hurting
How to hold ourselves and one another when life feels like its falling apart
How we move through life matters.
We can see the quality of our relationship with life when we encounter a transition.
In Tibetan Buddhism, transitions are referred to as the Bardo state.
As we grow from an embryo, are born, become a toddler, then a child, then enter into our teens, into adulthood and if we are fortunate become an elder and finally to pass back into Spirit.
Along the way, being human means we inevitably meet with loss and grief.
Love, if we are to be courageous and feel all of it, involves its ally, grief and loss.
Our capacity for these states of vulnerability, places us in such a way as to not only receive the depth and scope life offers, but also for integration, which is essentially all about our wholeness.
That which makes us human, also makes us divine.
Yet, the places in which we are truly held, truly seen are unfortunately rather rare.
Those of us who can do this for one-another, create a sacred container, a space, out of which we transform any ideas about being not enough.
Where we can recognise our essence, our true nature, as already complete.
In Grief Circle, we will together explore authenticity & connection. A space where we are safe to feel all that life brings and takes away.
Through processes involving art therapy, somatic (body-based) awareness, Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy, breath, sound and movement.
We may engage with some or all of the above modalities. Yet, our focus remains to honour the entire eco-system of each individual within the group which will guide the direction of the group.
Together, we will co-create a safe and sacred space for the circle.
