Building a greater awareness around ways to hold one another with compassion, kindness and respect when times of grief come our door...or theirs starts with a conversation. This 3-hour workshop is for any person in the community who wants to become more aware of the grief that surrounds them so they can be more compassionate in responding.

About the Facilitator

Christine Overstone (Richardson) is a Social Scientist, Wellness Consultant and Education Management Professional. Christine has researched and worked in behavior, thought and emotional management, developing and presenting seminars, courses, workshops and training programs for over three decades.

Due to her professional work, Christine was shocked by her complete inability to deal with the emotions grief brought into her life. She vowed to use her skills and experiences to work on behalf of grieving individuals and families.

The Grief Centre of Western Australia, a Not for Profit, Registered Charity was launched in August 2014. As Founding Director and using her corporate training work in private practice and the public sector, Christine continues to advocate for change in the way grief and loss is viewed within the community. Her belief that grief has a profound impact on lives, with often intergenerational consequences, drives her work to educate and better inform individuals, families and communities on the issues of unresolved grief.
