    TRAINING OVERVIEW

Resilient Responders provides a thorough understanding of psychological safety, psychological trauma and vicarious trauma and equips participants with the skills and tools to protect themselves and their colleagues working on the frontline with distressed clients. Participants will learn:

    • A comprehensive introduction to a modern integrated theory of psychological functioning and trauma
    • Understanding the types and levels of trauma people experience, and how trauma is resolved
    • Tools for resolving trauma in ourselves and others
    • Tools for preventing/ resolving vicarious trauma
    • Tools for creating and maintaining psychological safety at work

Empowering Conversations teaches frontline responders how to craft and deliver brief conversational interventions (that don't look like therapy) with distressed and traumatised clients, to help prevent and resolve psychological trauma. Participants learn how to:

    • Recognise trauma in our clients, and quickly understand the type and level of trauma they are experiencing
    • Craft a brief empowering conversation to address distress and trauma
    • Deliver a brief intervention in a way that clients can receive it.

    HEAR FROM PAST PARTICIPANTS:

Last year, this training significantly increased the confidence of 130 organisations in flood-affected Northern Rivers NSW in maintaining psychological safety.

    • "As someone that has no experience with dealing with trauma, I feel now have a great overview.”
    • “Adam is an incredible presenter – very knowledgeable, funny, interesting, clear. Content was interesting, balance of talking/activities/breaks was perfect. Great pace. Great learning. Very highly recommend.”
    • “This was a brilliant training, and so very useful as a frontline employee working with mostly clients with trauma.”
