About Grom Shorts Film Fest

All Masterclass attendees are encouraged to create their own surf-themed short film for a chance to be featured in the Grom Shorts Film Fest at Noosa Event Cinemas on Saturday, 21 June 2025. This exciting new component of the Noosa International Surfilm Festival offers young creatives the chance to showcase their work on the big screen, connect with industry leaders, and be celebrated for their talent and vision.

Each Masterclass offers targeted instruction led by industry experts, covering essential techniques and practical insights that will prepare attendees to create a compelling short film ready for submission to the Grom Shorts Film Fest.

• 01 February 2025: Editing Essentials with Bill Missett
  Learn from editing expert Bill Missett as he covers post-production fundamentals, sound design, and creating a cohesive story through editing.
• 22 February 2025: Colour Grading with Warren Eagles
  Discover the art of colour grading with Warren Eagles, an internationally recognized colourist. Learn how to enhance your film’s visuals for maximum impact.
