Ground cover and decision support for advisors
Description
Interested in ground and vegetation cover monitoring and the tools available to support better management decisions?
This practical session will explore how vegetation monitoring, seasonal information and decision-support tools can be used to understand changes in ground cover and inform planning and management.
Event details:
Join Murray Local Land Services and John Leys from DustWatch Australia for an interactive workshop exploring practical tools and data that can help advisors, project managers and land-carers understand vegetation cover and support land management decisions.
The session will cover:
the Vegetation Cover Trigger Tool (VCoTT) and how it can support decision-making
examples of how landholders are using vegetation cover information in practice
the RAPP Map and using satellite vegetation data
practical applications, challenges and opportunities for using these tools in an advisory, project management or land-care setting.
There will also be an opportunity to discuss how these tools and information could be applied to your own projects and work.
