Description

Interested in ground and vegetation cover monitoring and the tools available to support better management decisions?

This practical session will explore how vegetation monitoring, seasonal information and decision-support tools can be used to understand changes in ground cover and inform planning and management.

Event details:

Join Murray Local Land Services and John Leys from DustWatch Australia for an interactive workshop exploring practical tools and data that can help advisors, project managers and land-carers understand vegetation cover and support land management decisions.

The session will cover:

  • the Vegetation Cover Trigger Tool (VCoTT) and how it can support decision-making

  • examples of how landholders are using vegetation cover information in practice

  • the RAPP Map and using satellite vegetation data

  • practical applications, challenges and opportunities for using these tools in an advisory, project management or land-care setting.

There will also be an opportunity to discuss how these tools and information could be applied to your own projects and work.
