Grounded in Garnock - Unearthing Networks in Nature

Sometimes we don’t know what is happening when it is right in front of us! Whether it is on land, sea, sky, above the soil, beneath the soil and within communities around us. The Grounded in Garnock - Unearthing Networks in Nature project aims to showcase, shine a light on and further develop some of the amazing networks and nature within our area! 

Grounded in Garnock is funded by the Scottish Government Place Based Investment Programme and it has been co-created by The Beith Community Trust and local Social Entrepreneur, Michelle Sutherland. It is a 6 week series of seminars and hands-on workshops which take a different topic each week focusing on exploring and nurturing the living systems we live in. We are looking to maximise the natural resource, grassroot activities and infrastructure of the Garnock Valley for educational activity.

Join us to hear about stories of energy and the incredible transition that is taking place.

Already Scotland is realising its potential and it’s capacity for electricity generation from

renewable sources has increased substantially over the past 10 years. The key now to

this movement is designing an energy transition for both people and the planet. Our speakers will consider different transition pathways, renewable energy sources and how we can think and act from a ‘whole system’ perspective.

We encourage you to come to both the Seminar AND the Practical Workshop in Week 4 if you are interested in Stories of Energy.
