Grow Food at Home: Prepare your Spring/Summer Garden!
Description
We're back with food-growing workshops to help you prepare your Spring/Summer garden. Do you want to upskill your ability to grow food where you are?
Joe is an experienced food grower with a market garden plot at Mamre Homestead. He understands the conditions affecting growth in Penrith and is a brilliant educator.
You'll learn a lot in this workshop and be empowered to start or continue growing some of your own food, with a focus on summer harvest crops.
We will be covering the following topics:
Growing cucumbers and tomatoes this season
Trellising and pruning
Preparing your garden bed
Raising your seedlings
Sowing seed and transplanting.
*Please note that this differs slightly from the Saturday workshop. We will cover all the same topics however we won't have time to plant out seeds together. Instead, you will take seeds home with you to plant in your own time.
